It’s not very fluffy or cuddly.
Bird in flight! Don’t worry, the tire is hiding the jack stand. (the jack is just a failsafe)
Unfortunately, the nuts attaching the old cat to the exhaust manifold are exceedingly stubborn/rusted. I’m letting them soak overnight in hopes that they’ll be easier to remove tomorrow.
It just looks so odd raised up like this.

I did the cat and an OEM catback on my old Tacoma. I had to use a grinder to get the cat off. I guess the heat makes the bolts rust faster or fuse together or something.

Unfortunately the cat attaches to pressed in studs on the manifold. If I snap a stud I’m in big trouble.

I fell for it.
Dammit, if I was in an English speaking country I would print “Lost cat” flyers right now. Please, someone do this and post it here

Aren’t you supposed to go to Magnaflow to delete your cats?

Still gotta pass emissions, they were what O’Reillys had on their website.

I recommend a rattle gun to give the best possible chance of getting those rusted nuts off without rounding them or shearing the stud.

Yeah, I’ve got the impact wrench tuned all the way down. We’ll see if it works.

Please do! I have no designers skills as well, so if you can make a design out of this, well, have fun! Might get one :)
